I just took this photo about 30 seconds ago, and I’m wearing no makeup.
The reason I say this is because, over the years (especially the last few) I’ve had a ton of trouble with my skin. When I first moved to NY, it was due to my shitty eating habits, and later, as I started to do daily tv segments, it was due to my heavy makeup. In the last year, as I’ve phased out the tv (and made-for-tv makeup), it’s been due to stress and lack of sleep.
Since my executive decision to force myself to sleep and attempt to work out as well as eat healthy, my skin has cleared up almost immediately.
We have a bad habit of looking to potions - cleansers, toners, spot treatments, lotions - and even medicine - antibiotics, hormonal birth control - before we ever try the simplest of solutions: just treat ourselves well, and healthy skin (and bodies) will follow.
Anyway. So. That was my mini-victory in a month full of quasi-failures.
