See all that tape on the floor?  That’s how the photographers “mark their territory” in the pit at the end of the runway. One season, about a year ago, my substitute camera guy David (not my regular guy Jim) actually got shoved and started BLEEDING while fighting for space in the pit  Things can get dangerous in there!
