I just finished the final revise of my cover story, and I fixed it.  I had to delete the entire beginning and rewrite, but I finally found my voice (4 drafts in!).  It works, and I am so happy.  Now I just have to get my editors to agree to it!!  I wrote them this impassioned email about how I had to believe in it more than anyone else.  I haven’t felt so vulnerable about an article since I was writing for my college paper.

Off to a 4 pm meeting at Star, then coffee with a NYT reporter, then dinner with Mary, then a Soho House event with Lauren.

Monster is snoozin’ in her bag.  All is well with the world ;)
