(I’m still registered to vote in Illinois, although I haven’t lived there since 1999.)

Do you even know who your representative is??  Does it even matter?!?  Shouldn’t you be writing to them to let them know your grievances with laws and shit?

Eh.  Honestly?  No.

As someone who has worked on campaigns and the Hill, the sad truth is that “writing your rep” about whatever issue you’re getting hot and bothered about won’t do a damn thing, unless you happen to have serious cash behind that letter.

I’m sorry.  It’s just true.
