Hi. I'm Julia.

I am, as I say in my bio, personally & professionally, a handful. Also? Rambunctious, indefatigable, sometimes simply obnoxious. But I mean well.
I pretty much like any conversation encompassing sociology, biology, psychology, philosophy, architecture, media, technology, feminism, personal growth and the absurd machinations between men & women otherwise known as "dating." Yeah. I said it. I'm into that shit.

Yes, I'm really nice. No, I'm not faking it.

Out to breakfast at the Pancake House with our old family friends, Mark & Kimberly Kirk. Mark is our Congressman (for the 10th district of Illinois) and my former boss - we’ve known him since before I was born. Kimberly was like my sister for years, and I was the maid of honor in their wedding. She’s incredible - attended the Naval Academy when there were only about 8 women in her class, then, after she finished her mandatory service in the Pentagon, she went to law school, graduating from Northwestern two years ago. She’s now a lawyer for a top government agency in DC, working on international issues.
We used to spend so much time together - I miss them. It’s nice to see old friends (and hang out with people who are doing something OTHER than banking!!)
