Subject: Do you need to accomplish a good deed?
Dear Julia,
Have you done your good deed of the week yet? If not, I implore you to take up my cause. I am a hopelessly un-fussy soon-to-be bride who must find appropriate wedding wear for a New Year’s Eve Day love celebration.
What is a “love celebration,” you ask? Good question. Since my fiancee and I are not having a traditional wedding, I prefer to call it a “love celebration,” which I think sounds more casual. My mom thinks it’s reminiscent of the 60s and free love, but no worries, I am marrying just one man, and I do intend on wearing something.
This is where I need your (and perhaps your readers’) help. I need a casual winter wedding dress, and something I won’t freeze in because we’re getting married in Burlington, Vermont! I know already that I don’t want a gown (nothing long that will trail in the snow) but beyond that I’m pretty open. Well, actually budget-wise I’d prefer to keep it low in the cost department!
If you have any suggestions or resources you could share, I would greatly appreciate your help. Perhaps you’ve been inspired by your recent jaunts around Fashion Week. Maybe your readers know of gorgeous accessories to jazz up a simple white sheath. I just really, really need input! I’d consider it a huge favor if you would help me out.
Sincerely, and desperately yours,
Shana
