I think the basis for their ranking is really intriguing - university degrees, number of performing arts venues, information exchange and political engagement. Sort of impressed Chicago ranks so high! Go team town!
Foreign Policy examined 65 cities with a population of more than 1 million, rating business activity, human capital, information exchange, cultural experience and political engagement.
Weight was given to the number of Fortune Global 500 firms based in a city, as well as the percentage of residents who have university degrees, the number of performing arts venues and the number of embassies and consulates.
The top 10 cities in the 2010 rankings:
