Ladies and gentlemen, meet Miss Sarah Milligan.
I met Sarah my freshman year, and she lived with me during the summer of ‘01, when I was working full time on the Hill as a legislative correspondent.
She is one of the most remarkable women I’ve ever had the honor of knowing. Imagine Charlotte York from Sex & the City - but even sweeter. That’s Sarah (or “Milli” as her friends call her). Originally from Pensacola, Florida, she still speaks with a Southern accent - and she may just be the only person girlier than I am. She actually scented her resumes for a time (just out of college). She still takes ballet classes, and pointe shoes hang from her bookcase. Everything in her room is red & white with her monogram - except the towels. They’re pink with red monograms. :)
Everyone who meets Sarah loves her instantly - she’s warm, unpretentious, kind, and hysterical. And she uses the term “open-mouth kiss” un-ironically (as in “Oh, Julia, no! I didn’t open-mouth kiss him for two months!”)
I want to bottle her.
