With my sweet former intern/assistant Emily Rose, who is visiting from Boston this weekend!
I love this girl.
(btw, her adorable dress is from Forever 21 - and I want to walk over and pick one up right now! My frock is from Roni - the boutique in NYC)
I would change this sign to just “Be nice to people.”
I think people get so caught up in “working hard,” they lose sight of everything else in their lives. Hard does not equal “long.” Work SMART! Add value to people’s lives. That doesn’t mean that sometimes it won’t FEEL like “hard work,” but if you’re really on the right track, other times it won’t feel like work at all.
Instead you’ll be thinking, “They PAY me for this?!”
Or that’s what I’ve heard, at least. ;)

Or what about this Moschino Cheap & Chic pale turquoise gown? I really like it, and I’ve never worn anything in that color before. It also looks like it could fold into a suitcase fairly well.
So, I mentioned before, my childhood friend Natasha is throwing a huge 30th birthday bash at this chateau in France. The first night is “fancy dress” (ie: a costume party), but the second night is formal wear (ie: um … well, formal wear!)
Since I’m leaving on Wednesday for SF, then will head directly to LA, and finally fly from LA to Paris, I have to pack something now, or order a dress from Rent the Runway to meet me in LA.
I’m thinking this David Meister silver gown might work out nicely! And potentially travel well, too (??)
This Halston Heritage gown is STUNNING … but would it travel well?
I have my eye on this incredibly, well, CHARMING (sorry, sorry) amethyst bracelet from the aptly-named Good Charma. There’s just something about a piece of jewelry that has a deeper meaning.
So … I’ve just purchased these (my second pair of cowboy boots!). I might have officially gone cowgirl!
(Cowpeople to blame/thank: Dave & Brit Morin, Taylor Greason & my editor Leigh!)
Now that I’ve achieved my dream and seen Taylor Swift in concert … I need a new dream! And her name is Dolly.
I love Dolly Parton. I love how she just is who she is. I love how she doesn’t dress to fit in. I love how she’s taken a look and OWNED IT.
And her laugh just makes me grin.

It’s a Wrap!! With all the amazing people on my beautiful and talented friend Julia Price’s music video shoot last Sunday in New York.
AT THE TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT LAST NIGHT!
I screamed, I cried, I sang, I cheered, I wore sparkles and pink cowboy boots. All my dreams came true; life is officially complete. There’s nowhere to go but down.
:)
I owe the entire evening to Christine, who has a serious hook up with T-Swifty’s manager and nabbed us INCREDIBLE seats last minute. It made my life, for realz.
