Decorating the tree … Britt put up the lights, and I put up the ornaments and the angel. (We’re listening to the Home Alone xmas soundtrack - so many memories!)
My brother’s adorable girlfriend Allie, with the present my brother & mom helped her wrap (for her parents). My brother did the paper, my mom did the bow. My mom has a black belt in bows.
It even has a hood! My parents said I look like a colorblind Little Red Riding Hood.
The whole crew with our champers!
Serious Christmas thinking.
The desserts I tried last night. My mother made the very valid point that one should never feel guilty about enjoying truly extraordinary treats at Christmastime. I agree!! (although I felt a bit ill)
Little Gingerbread Sugar-tinis!
The AWE-inducing dessert tray at the University Club last night. Oh yum. Yum Yum Yum.
Yesterday evening at the University Club, with “little” brother Britt, who is 6 feet tall.
My mom and I have been dying to watch Miracle on 34th Street - the 1947 version - since last Christmas. We couldn’t find it ANYWHERE last year at holiday time (just the newer 1994 edition - I’ve shockingly never seen either one!), and of course I forgot to buy it off of Amazon in the interim. You would think it would be available on demand or something, but alas, no. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I MUST SEE THIS MOVIE TO ENSURE HOLIDAY CHEER.
