Last year's Techcrunch Party
This video was, by the way, a joke. That said, Meghan and I did manage to find a few “tech guy boyfriends” in the interim.
It’s been a long … interesting … year.
What I’m thinking about.
I hadn’t realized it had gotten so bad until I complained to Sarah Lacy today that I felt as if, over the past few years, I had become as sexually repressed as Charlotte York. And she said, “Julia, you’re MUCH worse. Charlotte at least had sex!!!”
Hmm. This is worrisome. Do other women have this problem? I just find it easier to shut down completely, focus on my work, etc.
This is worthy of further thought. But not tonight!
With one of my oldest childhood friends, Elly - a Stanford ‘03 grad and 3L at Yale Law - who is now working at a law firm in SF for the summer.
Elly actually went out and bought a copy, then proceeded to hold it up in front of the old stodgy lawyers at the party and yell out “She’s famous for nothing!” and then cackle. Ah, old friends are the best.
I promise this will be (more or less) the last Wired related photo I put up.
Read article here. Or else you’re doomed to exist in the dim twilight that knows neither MySpace nor YouTube.
Actually, that twilight seems pretty good right now.
with Wired writer Jason Tanz and EIC Chris Anderson, after the filmed “Conversation” (which will appear on Wired’s website sometime next week, I believe).
I told them to look as perturbed as possible in this photo. They take direction well!
At Wired’s offices. Walking in to find this was surreal.
(Outfit, in case you were wondering: Nine West heels from last season, DVF skirt from this one, H&M blouse, and Express belt)
