Maybe it’s just because I’m exhausted and (I think) I’m PMSing, so I’m CRANKY AS SHIT, but why the fuck do women say they “Just want a normal guy” or … “just want a regular guy” … or “just want an average guy” or “Just want a nice guy.”

First of all, you’re either LYING or you’re fucking BORING.

YUCK!!!!!  Why would you want a “normal, regular, average” guy???  WHY DON’T YOU WANT SOMEONE AMAZING?!?!?!?!?!?!  Someone FASCINATING??  Someone intriuging and brilliant and a zillion other qualities you can describe using superlatives!!

nice average guys will take care of you.  I mean when you think of marriage and long term relationships, what do you want mostly, a partner in crime/ someone who will be there for you for the rest of your life, someone you can count on more than a friend.  your life partner essentially.  someone to stick with you when you’re sick.  my mother suffered from cancer and without my dad there, i completely doubt she would have survived.

i mean if you want to talk about girly things, then you go to your girl friends.  i mean you don’t talk about fashion or whatnot with your husband.  You want to find someone to share your daily activities with.  i mean you don’t have to talk “intellectual” things with your husband all the time.  i mean the most successful couples are ones that are as willing to talk about the daily grind with you than the intellectual stuff.
 
you don’t want some cocky ass, “intellectual” bastard, cuz ultimately they’re selfish, and only self-serving.  (your ex was definitely a cocky ass, selfish intellectual bastard)  come on now, wouldn’t you want a simple fellow who would just want to love you and be loved in return?

Well.  What about amending it to “not average in YOUR eyes”?  And I’m sorry, I don’t care HOW nice he is, if he’s “simple” (intellectually), that isn’t happening.  I just can’t compromise on brains.
