LOVE this song. Promises, Promises by Naked Eyes. “You made me … promises, promises!! Knowing I’d beliiiiiiiiiiiiieve. Promises Promises!! Knew you’d never keeeeeeeeeep.” ahh, such a classic.
Sometimes I play a game with my iTunes where I think of a question, then I press shuffle and see if the next song “answers” that question. You know, like Magic 8 ball but with songs. I really don’t care if you think that’s lame, seriously try it, it’s totally fun.
(Although for some reason I frequently get the answer “Smells like Teen Spirit” from Nirvana. weird.)
Okay, so right now I’m asking it how my day will go tomorrow. I clicked shuffle and got “I’ve Got to Use My Imagination” by Gladys Knight & the Pips. Hmm. See? It says I have to make the best of a bad situation, I’ve got to keep on keepin’ on. Sweet. Tomorrow will obviously be awesome. Sigh.
Okay, now I just asked it if the boy I like likes me. Because I am in 7th grade. Madonna’s “Open Your Heart” came on. “I’ve had to work much harder for this, for something I want, don’t try to resist me.” HAHAHA This shit really works!!!!!!!!!
If anyone else decides to play this game (and you really should), reblog this with your own results!
The other fun iTunes game I play is an “iTunes-off” … it requires another person (and their laptop). You play a stanza or two of a song that “says” something, and then they counter with a song of THEIR own that answers.
So, for example, I might play “One More Try” by George Michael and they might (cheekily) respond with “Back to Life, Back to Reality” by Soul 2 Soul. Whatever, that’s a bad example, but it can be really fun … You use the lyrics more than the titles. Alex and I used to do iTunes-offs and end up on the floor laughing hysterically.
